Russian President Vladimir Putin has raised the alarm over the security of President-elect Donald Trump of the United States of America. Interviewed in Kazakhstan, Putin said that Trump is intelligent and experienced but insisted on his concern about Trump’s security given two attempts on his life during the election campaign.
Assassination Attempts on Trump
In 2024 Donald Trump was subjected to two reported attempts on his life. The first appearance happened in July in Pennsylvania where he got injured. The second was in September by a suspect who was accused of placing himself with a rifle at one of Trump’s golf courses in Florida.
The latter fact was criticized by Putin, who described them as ‘uncivilised methods’ that were used in the election campaign against Trump. The Russian leader said that the campaign was terrible and added that such events were hardly seen in the modern political history of the United States of America.
Trump’s Continued Risk
Putin, for instance, said he still thinks Trump is unsafe even after clinching the presidency. ‘In any case, it was not safe where he was, at least as far as I was concerned,’ he said. Trump needs to be careful and to know his enemies, Pence said, referencing violent events in American history.
Putin also stated that he also was disgusted with the way one of the sides treated Trump’s family during the election. He described the personal attacks as disgusting and insisted that even the most notorious crooks of Russia wouldn’t talk that way.
Putin’s View on US Politics and Ukraine War
The Russian President also touched on the actions of the Biden administration to arm Kyiv to fire Western missiles at Russia.
Putin said that it might be aimed to provoke Trump or to provide him with the topic to focus on after becoming the president. Still, Putin cherished the idea of speaking to Trump, affirming his expectation for Trump to solve these issues.
